The Role
Overview
Oversee on-site substation & transmission construction for clean-energy projects.

Tasks
-Personnel management, including setting production goals, safety goals and quality goals. -Ensure any punch-list items are addressed to the Owner’s satisfaction. -Contribute to the monthly cost to complete projects and advise the Project Manager. -Coordinate with subcontractors to confirm they are on schedule and following site policies. -Manage and update the work schedule. -Determine equipment needs and coordinate with fleet to schedule delivery. -Ensure all safety and quality requirements are followed by performing observations and immediately addressing any deviations. -Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers and superintendents. -Assist Project Manager with change orders. -Identify resources needed, including personnel and equipment for job sites. -Coordinate with Testing group prior to commissioning. -Attend project meetings and report as required. -Mentor crew members. -Red-line drawings to reflect as-built conditions. -Coordinate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, crew and back-office personnel. -Provide work tasks and job progression for the Plan of the Day (POD). -Walkdown the project prior to construction for site layout. -Layout and maintain a 3-week look-ahead schedule. -Review progress and performance weekly with the Project Manager. -Write reports and document project activities. -Update overall schedule as the job progresses. -Review project drawings and do a material takeoff to ensure an accurate BOM. -Oversee site construction from below grade work through completion. -Review and approve General Foreman timecards in Heavy Bid. -Meet with the local IBEW to discuss the project and manpower requirements. -Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, technical specifications and procedures, contracts or governmental regulations. -Safety planning for all field operations and activities along a busy road right away, rock boring, environmental hazards, and fire hazards.

What You Bring
-OSHA 30. -Required to have 10 to 15+ years of experience with thorough knowledge of all aspects of substation construction. -Weekly quantities completed and accurately reported. -High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related field, preferred). A combination of education & experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -Proficient with ProCore, MS Teams and MS office programs.
