Quality Control Inspector

Overview

Inspect and ensure welding work meets ASME/CSA codes and QA/QC standards.

Tasks

-Present and expedite solutions to fabrication problems and testing procedures. -Compile, analyze and present history dockets and history files. -Maintain inspection and calibration records. -Participate in ASME or customer certification audits. -Examine work pieces to determine conformance with specifications and welding requirements. -Coordinate activities for fabrication to various ASME BPVC. -Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders for workers. -Prepare inspection and test plans for fabrication of parts/components. -Verify dimensions of parts/components using various inspection tools. -Perform NDE, weld Inspection on piping and pressure vessels/piping and components built to ASME/CSA codes. -Ensure compliance to various Codes/Standards requirements (i.e. ASME BPVC, B31-Series, CSAB 51/B52, CSA N299, ISO 9001, CSA W59).

What You Bring

-Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are required. -Climbing of stairs. -Self starter with demonstrated initiative. -Quality minded and detail oriented. -Available for shift work and overtime. -Completion of a diploma and/or certificate in quality/ NDE or welding is preferred. -Knowledge of various QA/QC codes is preferred. -Well organized.
