Chief Engineer

Overview

Manage operation & maintenance of mechanical HVAC systems, chillers, boilers & BMS.

Tasks

-Climb and work off of ladders and aerial lifts safely -Create and maintain all operational SOPs for site specific equipment and systems. -Completes work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions. -Maintain a professional, safe and clean environment. -Maintain HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance program. -Work with engineers, contractors and consultants in evaluating the proper operation of the building systems. -Perform other related duties as assigned, assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs. -Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to determine problems and perform necessary repairs. -Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action. -Respond to all HVAC trouble calls and troubleshoot the systems to meet the critical specifications of all Data Centers and critical environments as well as operational and comfort needs of the building(s) occupants, where applicable. -Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule. -Perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment and systems.

What You Bring

-Education or training in HVAC, refrigeration and controls -Experience working with capital construction projects. -Experience working with pneumatic controls required -Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License -Observant which requires seeing, hearing, and smelling -Ten years’ Experience operating central plant; Steam and Chillers -Strong writing skills required. -Minimum of Ten years field experience in down town class A office towers -Proficient with Microsoft Office. -Be proficient in the functionality of the BMS/EMS and understand the sequences required for proper building, equipment and system operations. -Ability to lift 25lbs frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally
