Assist PMs with project planning, budgeting, documentation, and site coordination during summer.

Tasks
-Managing the project budget by controlling expenditures, coordinating billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractor. -Documenting and taking progress photos of job site. -Landmark safety and quality management programs and ensure contractor compliance. -Obtaining occupancy of the project. -Construction interns will assist with: -Participate in team meetings. -Maintaining closeout log and obtaining all closeout documents, warranties and log information. -Ensuring the overall success of costs and schedule. -Resolving punch-list issues prior to occupancy. -Maintain the highest possible professionalism at all times and promote good relations and communications on the project. -How to maintain RFI logs and change request log. -Recognize, report, and solve problems in a creative, positive, constructive way and make recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures, and policies. -Coordinating submittals, RFI’s, deliveries and inspections, along with analyzing how they affect the project schedule. -Change requests, change proposals for price reviews. -Assembling and preparing final record documents for the project at the conclusion of the job and store them in a secure location. -Reviewing and processing submittal data and shop drawings. -Completing daily logs, status reports and weekly subcontractor meeting minutes. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

What You Bring
-Obtaining Certificate of Substantial Completion. -1+ year of applicable coursework. -Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines. -Seeking a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science or Architecture preferred. -The employee may infrequently drive a vehicle (intrastate and interstate travel) or be subject to air travel for purposes of Company business. -Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. -Critical thinker and self-starter capable of accomplishing a task with limited guidance and supervision. -Positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. -Strong computer skills.
