The Role

Overview

Implement and manage safety programs across construction sites to ensure zero injuries.

Tasks

-Provide safety-related information, evaluate industrial hygiene concerns, and maintain knowledge of safety standards -Lead OSHA reporting, monitor subcontractor activities, and review safety submittals -Ensure maintenance and inspection of safety equipment and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels -Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics -Serve as a resource for safety issues, attend safety meetings, and assist with major incident analysis -Document and track safety violations, conduct safety audits, and analyze loss control data -Work with client safety personnel, union representatives, and insurance risk engineers -Implement and administer safety programs at worksites, including site-specific safety activities and training programs

What You Bring

-Minimum of four years of construction safety experience -Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively -Current valid driver’s license -Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant safety software programs -Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills -High school diploma with CHST Certification, OSHA 500, and a minimum of 10 years construction experience leading crews and planning work, to include at least six years as a dedicated construction safety professional responsible for managing project safety programs, conducting / reviewing hazard analyses and developing controls, conducting safety training, and planning work activities or equivalent experience in a relevant field -Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent; -Willingness to travel up to 100%
