Tasks

-Provide professional direction and mentorship to Safety staff, including development opportunities and hosting learning sessions -Lead incident reporting, investigation, and analysis, and coach safety managers in high-risk plan review -Oversee project documentation, tracking, and analysis of all Safety, Injury, and Hazard statistics, trend analyses, and OSHA reports -Support the operating group safety director and safety leadership team in achieving and maintaining safety performance metrics, and assist in incident response as needed -Monitor onsite construction activities through audits and observations, documenting deficiencies and corrective actions -Plan, lead, and manage the implementation of Zero Injury Safety Program elements and initiatives throughout the operating group -Managing a team of safety professionals preferred -Lead and support safety program collaboration across multiple organizations, including trade partners and joint-venture partners -Conduct and review site hazard assessments with project management during planning and construction phases -Maintain operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, and procedures -Develop, schedule, and conduct safety training, including train-the-trainer sessions, and create group-specific safety orientation content

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field -Ability to coach and influence operating group and project leaders in safety management -Experience working on large, complex projects with a high volume of subcontractor workers -Effective public speaking and presentation skills, strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills -Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. -Ability to travel up to 100% -Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action Plans -Valid driver’s license -Organizational and computer skills to support multiple project teams, acting as regional/market safety lead where appropriate -High school diploma plus CHST, OSHA 500 and a minimum of 14 years of continuous construction experience leading crews and planning work (including at least eight years as a dedicated construction safety professional responsible for managing large project and/or multi-project safety programs, conducting and reviewing hazard analyses and developing controls, conducting safety training, and working with project teams and leadership to plan work activities) and previous experience working on very large, complex projects with a high volume of subcontractor workers and managing a team of safety professionals’ preferred -(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) -Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback -Positive and professional attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to interpret and communicate company policies -At least eight years as a dedicated construction safety professional managing large project/multi-project safety program, conducting hazard analyses, developing controls, and conducting safety training -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. -Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
