Tasks

-Attend construction progress meetings as required in the service contract and report proceedings -Responsible for preparing a work schedule and time projections assigned, as well as coordinating the schedule and work with the Operations Manager and the design engineers -Meet with the Operations Manager, Project Managers and design engineers to review expectations and role to be fulfilled by Construction Administrator on project assigned -Collect data and review change orders with the design engineer and prepare project close out documents when needed -Review project, scope of work, and budget for contracted services -Review contract documents with contractors, clarify and interpret contract documents and obtain information from design engineers as required. Issue reports regarding deficiencies in the project -Review applications for payment submitted by the contractor and forward to the Project Manager with recommendation for disposition -Assist client with final observation of the work and receive necessary documentation from contractor at the completion of the work -Provide input and help with department-based planning and resource allocation -Observe work to determine if progress and quality of workmanship are in accordance with the contract documents -Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds -Confer with the Architect on issues regarding the construction coordination between architectural and engineering design; coordinate with the design engineer and record and document events and circumstances -Assist with IMEG quality control processes

What You Bring

-Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook -Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups -Field and Supervision experience preferred -Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull -This position is not eligible for sponsorship -Must be familiar with design processes and interpretation of architectural and engineering design documents. -Strong interpersonal skills -8 years of experience minimum required, 10 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry -Ability to climb ladders and safely maneuver around construction sites -Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and structures -Can read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings -Advanced knowledge of design and construction techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans and drawings -A strong work ethic -Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises -Ability to travel 20-50% with occasional overnight stays -Bachelor’s Degree (Science) or Associate Degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent
