Tasks

-Design, build, and deliver maintainable, high-performance software applications that scale with the business. -Drive AI adoption — integrate AI-enabled engineering practices to improve developer productivity and explore product opportunities where AI adds user value. -Guide system architecture — influence patterns and frameworks that make hipages’ platform scalable and future-ready. -Champion operational excellence — build for clear SLOs and ensure the product is observable, resilient, and cost-effective in production. -Enable data-driven decisions — shape and run product experiments and leverage insights to guide feature evolution. -Raise the engineering bar — set high standards for code quality, reliability, and delivery across the team. -Coach and mentor — grow the capabilities of engineers through guidance, pairing, and technical feedback. -Ensure engineering quality — drive robust testing strategies, peer reviews, and continuous improvement in build and release practices. -Lead by example — write clean, testable, secure code and drive best practices across the team.

What You Bring

-Good understanding and practices utilising Cloud Native technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP). -Good understanding of NoSQL Databases (Ideally MongoDB). -Good understanding of EventSourcing & CQRS Concepts. -Demonstrable experience in adopting AI driven engineering practices (e.g. Agentic code generation, automated PR reviews, AI assisted refactoring). -Experience with React Native. -7+ years software engineering experience within a product-led organisation or startup environment. -Own API design — craft clean, well-documented APIs for both internal and external consumers. -Experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining .NET services and/or React applications. -Sydney CBD office near Town Hall and Gadigal Stations -Experience writing automated tests. -Agile squads, hackathons, off-sites and roadshows -Good understanding of modern CICD practices. -Experience in building full-stack applications.
