The Role

Overview

Onsite/offsite maintenance, repair, and overhaul of compressors and generators with travel.

Tasks

-Maintains, repairs, and overhauls customer's compressors or components as required to meet customer needs, whether in-house or in the field. -Promotes and upholds all safety requirements at all times. -Notifies supervisor of adequate levels of supplies and tools for completion of assigned production. -Represent RIX Industries and act as a liaison between RIX Industries' customers and end users. -Participates in all required company training and administrative requirements on time. -Provides quality, on time repair of compressors, generators, and associated parts and equipment.

What You Bring

-Ability to perform calculations such as percentages, ratios, and fractions. -Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to a variety of software applications. -Demonstrates effective communication within the department, company, and customers. -While working near moving equipment, mechanical parts and lift trucks; must have the ability to follow safe operating procedures. -Ability to read and understand structural drawing, schematics, and operating manuals. Excellent communication skills required for customer interface and reporting. Must be competent in all aspects of troubleshooting and repair of RIX Industries 5R5, Star and other models of Compressors and LaBarge Controllers. -Degree from technical school or equivalent combination of education and work experience. One-year experience as a mechanical assembler or mechanic in any related field. -Must have the following physical abilities: -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. -Valid Driver License. -Must have troubleshooting skills that seldom require assistance -Ability to understand the use and application of air and gas compressors and generators and basic manufacturing tooling and equipment. -Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers. -Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15. May require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance. -Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and inter-personal professional skills. -3 years of experience as a mechanical assembler or mechanic in any rotating equipment related field. -Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift. -Ability to travel based on company needs. -Advance course work in any Mechanical assembly discipline. Specific experience in the manufacturing of air and gas compressors and generators.
