The Role

Lead mechanic overseeing maintenance, repairs, and training on plant equipment.

Tasks

-Determines plant machinery needs and requirements and communicates repairs and adjustments to maintenance and production supervisory personnel. -Interprets mechanical prints, drawings, and technical data to conduct maintenance of machinery. -Assist electricians and engineers on routine tasks as needed. -Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. -Responsible for maintenance on plant machinery and equipment. Responds to repair and part requirements to maintain all machinery at its highest level of integrity. -Communicates and coordinates with production and maintenance supervisory personnel regarding equipment needs and requirements. -Working with computer programs such as Excel and Microsoft Word to complete daily work logs. -Works all shifts as directed. Works on an on-call basis in times of need. -Assists in teaching others the necessary techniques and knowledge of the trade. -Delegates maintenance tasks as required. -Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.

What You Bring

-Previous leadership experience in an industrial setting. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED). -Strong communication skills. -Five years of industrial work experience is preferred.
