Tasks

-Provide cost analysis support for continuous improvement and capital investment projects. -Write manuals and instructions on process equipment -Track and report cost-saving initiatives’ effectiveness -Collaborate with Operations teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives. -Participate in project review to implement lessons learned in following phases/projects -Ensure timely reporting of production cost KPIs. -Perform Overall Process Efficiency (OPE) observations -Act as change agent of the OpEx cluster transformation -Evaluate the minerals and materials processes and identify unnecessary complexities or flaws. -Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive operational improvements. -Comply with 10 life saving rules -. -Conduct technical and/or operational ad-hoc audits on specific need basis, in accordance with the Sibelco Process Audit Guidelines. -Support Project Planning and Execution -Implement and enforce all Sibelco’s HSE related rules, regulations, procedures and actions at site -Assist in preparing cost-benefit analyses and post-implementation reviews -Validate cost assumptions and ensure alignment with business goals. -Stay up to date with new process engineering technologies and innovation in the industry -Evaluate production processes to improve efficiency and reduce wastage. -Organize trials (lab and/or industrial) and use specific simulation software to develop the block flow diagrams and process flow sheet -Support OEE performance dialogues and problem-solving matrix tool -Prepare and present cost performance reports to management. -Provide input for recommendations in clear audit reports -Maintain accurate records of process cost data. -Recommend process changes to optimize material, energy, and labor utilization. -Support the evaluation of technical and economic feasibility of projects -Initiate the Project Cost estimation, assessing a preliminary order of magnitude on the defined scope and on the block flow diagrams / flow sheet -Design new, innovative minerals and materials processes and adapt existing ones to improve efficiency, safety, sustainability and cost efficiency. -Ensure a sustainable OpEx way of working overtime and train the Operations team in the OpEx handbook, tools and techniques. -Ensure Quality Control all along the project delivery -Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts related to operational costs. -Participate in project commissioning by assisting and training the operators and successfully transfer the project to the line -Trouble shooting and conduct the RCFA -Lead and /or participate (hands-on) in activities related to the Operational Excellence (OpEX) program in the cluster. He /She leads research and develop new ideas or solutions that contribute to create plants and systems in a cost-effective and efficient way. -Drive specific OpEx projects. -Promote, lead or participate in problem solving sessions, idea generation workshop and kaizen -Ensure all activities execute and comply Sibelco HSE standards at site -Support installation of control systems, sketching the more suitable philosophy control -Assist in preparing cost-benefit analyses and post-implementation reviews. -Analyse technical equipment, quality/production data, operational data, etc.
