Tasks

This role will be responsible for providing support and implementation of EHS policies and programs to ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations and corporate standards across Scotland and the North of the UK. This role will span the field service & sales organization and business support functions. Our functional purpose is to support Carrier’s mission by creating business value through breakthrough and sustainable EHS solutions to protect our People, our Stakeholders, and our Environment. -Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and share lessons learned. -Provide expert support on occupational health, safety, and environmental matters across UK&I projects, ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and company standards. -Assess EHS resource needs during project planning based on scope, risks, and complexity. -Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs. -Advise operational teams on preventing workplace incidents and promoting a proactive safety culture aligned with Lead with Safety Commitments. -Create clear and engaging EHS communications (presentations, videos, written updates). -Coach managers to understand EHS responsibilities and recognize the business value of effective EHS programs. -Manage subcontractor qualification, deployment, and safety performance. -Partner with senior management to drive strong EHS performance and implement EH&S strategies. -Conduct safety inspections/audits and ensure timely completion of corrective actions. -Support internal EH&S reporting, document updates, and certification renewals.

What You Bring

-NEBOSH General Certificate -Valid UK driving license. -Ability to organize, motivate, and drive change and interact cross functionally. -Previous experience in Health & Safety area gained working with organizations in construction or field based and manufacturing operations. -Willingness to travel (this role does require travel throughout the Northern and Scottish regions on a regular basis to visit job sites and depot locations). -Regulatory knowledge including safety, environmental and other regulatory standards applicable to building services industries and construction. -Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal. -Inter-personal skills with a proven ability to influence, build effective working relationships and drive cultural change with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
