Overview

Develop and deliver protection and control engineering solutions for high‑voltage transmission networks.

Tasks

-Ensure Control and protection Networks and systems are in accordance with current legislation, policies and operational requirements. -Perform all duties with a strong emphasis on health, safety, quality and environment compliance and continuous improvement -Define protection and control and ancillary apparatus requirements and advise on construction and outage programmes where required in relation to Control & Protection. -Provide technical support to the Project team on Control & Protection issues. -Preparation of engineering documentation following quality processes -Prepare basic and detailed engineering specifications and designs -liaise across multi disciplinary engineering teams to provide end to end integrated solutions. -Provide technical assessment of tender submissions, preparation/review of Control & Protection design drawings and specifications. -Contribute to training needs assessment for new products or similar and the development and delivery of technical, operational and safety packages for such products.

What You Bring

-Degree in an Engineering discipline with relevant experience. -Having the ability to investigate and understand technical characteristics of substation plant and associated equipment. -Knowledge of the characteristics and the operation and maintenance of Substation Plants and associated equipment is valuable -Good inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses. -Proven experience in a responsible position working on projects with voltages from 33kV to 400kV -Ability to implement, apply and promote CDM and Health & Safety best practice in a design environment. -Chartered Engineer Status (or working towards).
