Tasks

-Assist supervisors with the timely completion of required Accident Reports. Review incident investigations to ensure causes and corrective actions have been addressed. Take lead role in creation of Root Cause Maps in response to workplace incidents. -Conduct safety training and support for assigned jobsite(s). -Conduct Supervisor Safety Training, as required. -Coordinate tasks and functions to ensure work is performed safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local standards. -Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. -Serve as a health and safety resource for OSHA compliance, company safety policies and procedures, and support the prevention of incidents. -Assist field supervisors in the development of plans, systems and training that develop local, competent, and caring safety personnel and resources. -Promote Near Miss Reporting throughout all field and office locations. Assist with the implementation of corrective actions and mitigation for near misses that require follow-up action. -Inspect the availability, readiness and proper use of required incident prevention procedures, safety and fire prevention equipment, protective clothing and devices, and first aid supplies. Recommend and follow up to verify the implementation of corrective actions. -Coordinate field employee medical treatment for injury response utilizing company medical treatment protocol. -Conduct OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 classes, as required. -Develop, assist, or conduct appropriate Job Hazard Analyses. Promote the use of the Job Hazard Boards at assigned jobsite(s). -Provide assistance with work activities that require permits, including Confined Space, Hot Work, etc. -Attend and participate in safety meetings at jobsite(s), including periodic General Contractor safety walks. -Identify and recommend safety equipment, material and supplies for work operations. -Conduct inspections at their assigned jobsite(s) including inspection of work areas and equipment; observing employee work practices and improving safety preparedness to ensure employees are equipped with the training, tools, and equipment necessary to work safely. -Identify corrective actions necessary to bring job sites into compliance with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and standards, and explain these measures to others. -Assist in the preparation of safety documentation including pre-task planning forms, Site Specific Safety Plans, jobsite safety inspections and various permits.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of current corporate policies and procedures. -Minimum of three years safety experience in the construction, facilities, and/or industrial services industry. -Associate degree preferred. -Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, but remain calm, when handling emergencies. -Ability to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. -Knowledge of current NEC and NFPA 70E Standards applicable to electrical work operations. -Knowledge of current applicable State (Florida) and Federal Occupational Safety and Health regulations. -Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. -Certified in the safe operation of relevant construction equipment. -Understanding of root cause analysis techniques in relation to accident investigations. -Ability to handle a dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload under deadlines. -Ability to operate company vehicle and other equipment safely, within guidelines, and with care. -Ability to work and utilize judgment to make decisions, independently. -Presentation skills with the ability to deliver and provide educational training sessions.
