Overview
Provide consultancy & lead technical projects in nuclear waste, decommissioning, safety cases.

Tasks
-Potential line management of a small number of consultants outside of project teams. -Developing staff and ensuring their well-being, such as through line management or mentoring. -Ensuring all activities in your business area are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner. -Providing technical support and advice to other project managers. -Delivering high-quality, technical projects. This will involve producing high quality reports, working closely with the client, presenting findings to stakeholders, facilitating technical workshops / discussions, ensuring the financial and technical health of the project, and managing a small team of project staff.

What You Bring
-Excellent time management, prioritisation and problem-solving skills. -Business development experience in your areas of expertise. -Ability to deliver high-quality technical work and proposals with excellent attention to detail, within tight deadlines. -Radiological risk assessment, environmental safety case development and/or criticality safety assessments. -Nuclear industry experience, in particular in radioactive waste management, disposal, options assessments, environmental safety, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, nuclear safety and/or related fields. -Understanding of the regulatory framework in which the nuclear industry operates. -Project and contract management experience. -Technical assessment experience in our specialism areas, for example -Qualification such as a PhD or MSc in quantitative earth sciences, applied mathematics, physics, chemistry or engineering. -Experience of mathematical modelling, particularly with respect to site characterisation, groundwater flow, gas transfer, and/or contaminant transport in geological media (e.g. using platforms such as GoldSim or COMSOL). -Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, using English language. -Coding skills (e.g. Python, C++).
