Tasks

-Perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear included (but not limited to) the following: -Communicate effectively with the company management team on a regular basis regarding project status and the scheduling of manpower and equipment -Perform troubleshooting and problem identification and analysis. Make recommendations regarding corrective action and/or repairs -Communicating effectively with co-workers -Generate technical reports detailing services provided, problems found, and corrective action taken or recommended -Represent the company in a professional manner regarding communicating and interfacing with clients

What You Bring

-Broad knowledge of the function of major electrical equipment -Broad knowledge of electrical AC/DC fundamentals (Electrical) -Word processing, spread sheet and e-mail software -Broad knowledge of ground grid theory and design (Electrical) -Broad knowledge of the major components of a substation -Broad knowledge of electrical code and standards (NEC, NESC, and applicable IEEE and ANSI) (Electrical) -Knowledge of drafting standards -Broad knowledge of control and protection systems (Electrical) -Valid driver’s license -Broad knowledge of civil / structural codes and standards (NESC, and applicable IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI) (Civil / Structural) -Power DB knowledge a plus -Knowledge of high-voltage electric field theory (Electrical) -Motors and Motor Starters -Meters, Transducers, and Power system metering -Mathematics, including algebra and trigonometry -Effective oral and written communications -Ability to travel 50% required -Knowledge of the types of drawings required to construct an electrical substation
