Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Develops cooperative working relationships and open communication within and across groups, to work towards solutions that benefit all involved parties. -Expand knowledge through training and work experience. -Performs basic calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer. Seeks out more experienced engineer for guidance and expertise, and solves problems using well established scientific principles. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Perform non-routine technical assignments of limited scope. -Consults with senior team members to receive direction for internal customers. -Seeks expertise, advice and perspectives from a variety of sources. -Learn codes and standards to complete assignments. Seeks to interpret codes and standards in a logical manner, and perform tasks according to company procedure industry codes and regulations.

What You Bring

-Candidate will be an OGC Engineer Intern who can quickly become familiar with various Oil, Gas, and Chemical processes or technologies -Adjusts to varying demands of work and performs well. -Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Present ideas clearly and in professional manner. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Ability to define, identify the problem and report to a senior engineer. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Fire Protection, Any related -Ability to draw conclusions and present finding to senior leadership. -Proactive about learning new information and skills. -Able to work full-time during the summer -Regular, reliable attendance -Have the basic knowledge of process safety including Source model, Toxic release and dispersion models, Fires and Explosions, Fire protection, Hazard Identification, and Risk Assessment. -Able to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines under supervision.
