AP Staff Accountant

Entry-level accountant handling AP tasks and month‑end support.

Tasks

-Help prepare standard and ad-hoc reports related to AP and purchasing activity -Manage credit card transaction reconciliation and supporting documentation -Communicate with vendors and internal staff to resolve discrepancies -Assist with annual fixed assets count and verification -Support additional AP-related tasks and projects as assigned by the AP Supervisor -Match invoices to purchase orders, receiving documentation, or other supporting documentation -Support account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures -Prepare journal entries related to leases, fixed assets, and depreciation -Assist with lien waiver preparation and collection of certificates of insurance as needed -Participate in weekly payment processing and maintain organized AP records -Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits -Process vendor invoices in the Spectrum ERP system with accuracy and efficiency

What You Bring

-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail -Professional written and verbal communication skills -Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools -Experience using ERP systems (e.g., Spectrum) is a plus. -Experience in construction or service industries is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree. Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Ability to work independently with guidance, and manage time effectively -0–2 years of relevant work experience (internships or part-time roles welcomed)
