Key Responsibilities

  • hydraulic modelling
  • data analysis
  • risk assessment
  • report production
  • compliance
  • stakeholder engagement

Tasks

-Support the design and evaluation of flood management measures (levees, retention basins, stormwater systems, etc.). -Engage with stakeholders and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences. -Develop 1D, 2D, and coupled hydraulic models using HEC-RAS (1D/2D) and MIKE (MIKE HydroRiver/21/URBAN, Mike+). -Prepare high-quality technical reports, maps, and visualisations to communicate modelling outcomes effectively. -Ensure compliance with industry standards, guidelines, and client specifications. -Collaborate with engineers, hydrologists, GIS specialists, and environmental experts across projects. -Collect, process, and analyse hydrological and meteorological data for model development. -Conduct flood risk assessments, inundation mapping, dam break, and drainage analyses. -Calibrate and validate models against observed flood events to ensure reliability and accuracy.
