Tasks

-Take ownership of a high-value, technically rich mechanical scope -Work closely with the Project Commercial Manager to support wider reporting, forecasting, and client interface -Use SAP and Power BI to analyse cost data, trends, and package performance -Support mentoring of junior commercial staff and contribute to commercial governance and best practice on site -Collaborate with the planning and project controls teams to align commercial and programme deliverables -Manage subcontractor accounts, including payment certification, variations, CEQs, EWNs, and final account settlements -Work within a high-performing commercial team with strong site integration -Carry out remeasurement and BOQ updates in line with NEC4 Option B obligations and standard methods (SMM7 / NRM2) -Support the month-end reporting cycle including cost value reconciliations, accruals, and margin analysis

What You Bring

This is a site-based role with a mechanical subcontract package bias (valued over £20m), working under NEC4 Option B (BOQ, Remeasure). It’s an ideal opportunity for a mechanically biased QS looking to step into a complex, multi-disciplinary delivery environment with long-term progression and high visibility across both commercial and project controls teams. Permanent | Full-Time | Minimum 3 Days per Week Onsite -Significant experience in subcontract management on mechanical / piping packages within large-scale EPC, industrial, or process plant projects -Comfortable working in a site-based role within an integrated delivery team (minimum 3 days/week onsite in Hull) -Experience using SAP, Power BI, and standard remeasurement practices (SMM7 / NRM2) -Familiar with project environments governed by NAECI or similar industrial frameworks (desirable) -Strong working knowledge of NEC4 Option B contract administration
