Overview
Prepare accurate mechanical tender estimates and manage bid processes.

Tasks
-Provide accurate nett cost tenders for all sizes of mechanical installation projects -Identify opportunities to enable Irwin M&E to gain a competitive edge on tenders -Cost variation works on live projects for submission to the client/main contractor -Evaluate bid requirements from tender documentation, drawings and specifications -Build relationships with main contractors and clients bid teams -Participate in handover of successful bids to the Project Delivery Team -Accurately complete quantity take-offs and measurements from tender drawings -Working alongside experts in their field -Negotiate optimum prices from suppliers and subcontractors -Produce tenders that are accurate, competitive and compliant -Prepare quantified schedule of rates documents -Identify value engineering opportunities -Identify and effectively assess any risks within the tender bid -Preparation of estimate summary reports

What You Bring
-Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to work to a plan to avoid disappointments -Positive in all dealings with the directors, management team and staff -Good personal organisation, honesty, communication, ownership, reliability and dependability -Ability to work to tight deadlines -Computer literate with competency in Word, Excel, Outlook etc. -Proficient in Trimble (Amtech) Estimating Software (or a similar package) -Good interpersonal skills to create meaningful reciprocal relationships with both colleagues and clients -Excellent communication, leadership, motivational and people skills -Detailed care and attention to every detail of a tender -Demonstrate sound technical awareness -Use of specialist software packages such as Amtech, AutoDesk products and the like -Innovative and forward-thinking approach to each tender -Time served Plumber (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or Proven Industry Experience Minimum 3 years experience in similar role, with a proven track record and experience in all aspects of Mechanical installations.
