Conduct field inspections/testing of concrete, masonry, welding, and other structures.

Tasks
-Complete and prepare accurate and detailed field-testing reports on a daily basis -Complete structural concrete and reinforcing code and job specification compliance -Perform inspections of soil, concrete, asphalt, steel and/or wood framing -Inspect, assess and determine weld quality meets the acceptable criteria of a specific code or other specifications and safety regulations -Travel safely to various job sites in a company provided vehicle; maintain company vehicle (schedule oil changes, inside/outside upkeep and complete monthly vehicle inspection reports) -Communicate daily with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers verbally and electronically -Read maps, blueprints, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans -Perform routine field tests or inspections -Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications and material specifications -Determine spray-applied fireproofing code and job specification compliance -Determine pre-stressed and post tension concrete tendons, reinforcing code and job specification compliance -Prepare reports with detailed documentation of inspections, testing and findings including any defects or discrepancies -Document accurate and detailed field activity/inspections and report findings/diagrams to the clients and supervisors -Follow all company safety procedures and policies

What You Bring
-2 years of prior field and/or inspections experience -Ability to calculate results from construction inspections -Must be at least 18 years old for entry onto job sites -Master Special Inspector (MSI) or has ICC Reinforced Concrete & Masonry certification -Moderate to loud noise levels, common in active construction and industrial environments. -Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, balance, lift, carry, and push as required for fieldwork and inspections. -Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, detailed reports, short correspondence and memos -Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, handling tools, and operating equipment. -AAS or BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology or related degree -Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record -Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods. -Strong written and verbal communication and ability to use technology/computer -Ability to speak and hear effectively to communicate in noisy environments and with project teams. -Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization -High School diploma or equivalent -Ability to read and interpret construction documents -Exposure to environmental elements including dirt, dust, sun, heat, humidity, and adverse weather conditions. -Ability to use your senses to see (including close, distant, and peripheral vison, depth vision, and ability to focus) smell, hear, touch (use hands to reach climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit). C1 -Post Tensioning experience. -Ability to lift and/or carry 35 to 75 lbs. up to 75 feet, involving regular repetitive motion. -Understand structural masonry code and job specification compliance -Ability to accurately complete field-testing paperwork and detailed figures
