Design and check complex temporary works for excavation support, propping, formwork, and falsework.

Tasks

-Managing your own workload and supporting the team leaders in achieving the collective goals of the team -Prepare complex temporary works designs for Groundworks or Propping and jacking schemes -Identify & lead continuous improvement projects as agreed by the Engineering Director -Provide technical training and guidance to members of the sales, engineering and operation teams -Checking medium to high complexity designs and drawing in accordance with BS5975:2019 -Identify training requirements and act as a mentor to Graduate Engineers, Design Engineering and Technicians -Design of steel and concrete connections -Review design briefs provided by the sales team through Launchpad and provide feedback if more information is required -Attend client meetings and carry out site visits

What You Bring

-Some experience working on site -At least 5 years experience designing temporary works -The ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment -Experience utilising AutoCAD 2D and/or REVIT -Experience working for a supplier or in a commercial environment -Experience in designing Groundworks, Formwork & Falsework or Propping -Experience training and mentoring junior members of the team -Professional membership of ICE -A HND or degree in civil/structural engineering -Experience of checking Groundworks, Formwork & Falsework or Propping
