  • On an as-needed basis, assist the Assistant General Counsel in negotiating, drafting and reviewing various power purchase, construction, C&I and utilities-scale project development, M&A, financing, and related documents for solar energy and battery storage projects, including contracts with customers, project owners, suppliers, subcontractors and professional service providers, operations and maintenance agreements and other transaction documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic business-oriented legal advice.
  • Review and advise on title and survey documents to support the development of solar energy and battery storage projects in various states;
  • Negotiate various real estate-related agreements, including but not limited to option agreements, lease agreements and easements.
  • Work with title companies and surveyors to ensure timely project deliverables.
  • Lead the real estate portion of the due diligence process for various project acquisitions and sales transactions and in preparation for project financings.
  • Provide legal advice on real estate topics (including changes in law and emerging trends) for renewable energy projects;
  • Create legal and commercial forms and processes and educate the business on important legal and commercial matters.
  • Supervise and manage outside counsel in various matters on an as-needed basis.
