Tasks
-Technical management of junior engineers and CAD draught professionals. -Lead role for secondary Design of HV and EHV Substations in compliance with relevant BS, IEC, and customer-specified standards. -Development and training of junior engineers. -Responsibility for coordination of design of substation and/or OH/cable design from concept to detailed design as per client requirements. -Accountable for compliant and coordinated secondary engineering design on own projects as well as for other team members. Attend technical meetings with the client to ensure client satisfaction. -Liaison with other members of the T&D design team and client engineers and other members of power systems team.

What You Bring
-Multi-disciplinary design management experience. -Experience of working and/or authorisation with major UK utilities such as NG or DNO companies. Possess a proficient understanding of the electricity industry & regulatory standards, policies, and their application to the role. -HNC / HND / Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering with experience in the UK Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry. Ideally NG authorised. -Membership of the IET, Chartered Status, or working towards Chartered Engineer status. -Strong electrical knowledge and experience in the equipment design, specification, layout, and detailed engineering of extra and high voltage substations electrical equipment and product range. -Multidisciplinary design management. -An ability and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-locational team environment in collaboration with our clients. -A good understanding of electrical plant, transformer, protection, relays, and control principles and construction disciplines and current ENA, BS, and IEC electrotechnical engineering standards, to ensure full application and compliance requirements can be achieved.
