The Role

Overview

Manage commercial administration, cost control, and contract compliance across projects.

Tasks

-Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management. -Liaise with operational and engineering teams to maintain accurate site records. -Issue all commercial notices to clients and subcontractors as required by the contract. -Support estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise. -Interpret and evaluate expenditure reports from internal cost systems. -Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company standards. -Lead weekly progress and risk reduction meetings with clients and subcontractors. -Prepare, submit, and agree monthly applications to the client. -Produce and present detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs). -Produce subcontract documentation, including negotiation of terms, conditions, prices, and programmes. -Manage change in line with contractual requirements, including Compensation Event Quotations. -Maintain a detailed cost plan, tracking and forecasting expenditure, including subcontractor liabilities.

What You Bring

-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. -Commercially astute with strong analytical skills. -CSCS card holder. -Flexible and willing to travel extensively. -Relevant degree and/or experience in a commercial environment. -Strong understanding of standard forms of contract. -Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. -Solid knowledge of construction processes. -Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS (desirable), ideally working towards full membership. -Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. -Experience managing large projects or multiple smaller schemes. -First-class time management and organisational skills. -Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, and experience with CEMAR and Oracle systems.
