Tasks

-Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. -Coordinate training for new contract staff and provide documentation for daily, weekly and monthly reports from the ticketing system and databases. -Tests and evaluates hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system, using equipment such as computer terminal and modem. -Analyzes workload, including traffic and utilization trends. -Researches, runs tests, evaluates, and recommends telecommunications and data network systems. -Serve as the lead point of contact (POC) for government and customers seeking technical assistance. -Responsible for coordinating the scheduling for the WNOC group supporting Cellular Over the Horizon Enforcement Network (COTHEN) and Land Mobile Radio (LMR). -Supports complex PCs and LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization. -Interfaces with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors for maximum guidance in determining the most appropriate type of hardware installation. -Analyzes test data and recommends hardware or software for purchase.

What You Bring

-Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, technical teams, and management. -Bachelor’s degree in related technical fields such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking and Telecommunications. -Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, network topology, and basic troubleshooting techniques. -An active DoD Secret clearance is required for consideration. -Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues efficiently. -Relevant certifications such as ITIL v3, CompTIA, CCNA. -A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in Tier 1 support operations. -Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
