Handle all administrative functions of all Recreation areas including maintaining inventories of supplies, answering telephones and taking messages, etc.
Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
Greet and welcome all guests and members and offer assistance on an ongoing basis.
Provide basic operational information for guests and members.
Assist guests and members with reservations for services.
Process transactions for all events, guest fees, massage fees, membership fees, dues, etc.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Must be able to completely and accurately explain the fitness center and philosophy and programs.

Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

1-year experience in fitness industry preferred.

Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Hygiene is key in this environment due to the close proximity of working with the clients. At no time is cigarette smoke allowed to be on the hands, clothes or breath of a health and fitness employee during a shift.
