- Lead DB migration projects, specifically Oracle to SQL Server
- Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Design and develop database systems with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and security
- Manage back-end data integration and architecture including dimensional data modeling and ETL development
- Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to meet performance and scalability requirements
- Analyze organizational data needs and identify the most suitable database systems
- Implement solutions for managing data in the cloud, especially on AWS RDS
- Ensure data security by implementing protocols such as encryption and access controls
- Automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes etc.
- Develop and maintain DB deployment strategies across various environments
- Determine appropriate database architecture, data storage, and indexing techniques
- Design and implement database structures ensuring data security and integrity
- Focus on designing and maintaining data warehouses and large-scale data repositories
