Overview

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions in Agile/SAFe for defence projects.

Tasks

-Work in cross-functional teams to define and refine software requirements, and coordinate the deployment of IT systems -Investigate issues, identify root causes, and propose sustainable fixes -Create technical documentation for reference and reporting -Develop software projects, ensuring solutions align with client needs, business goals, and technical specifications -Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software -Work with a team of developers in an Agile environment to design and implement software solutions -Integrate software components and third-party programs -Participate in code or document reviews and offer feedback to others

What You Bring

-NV1 Security clearance (with ability to upgrade to NV2 if required) -Ability to learn new languages and technologies -Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks -Strong proficiency in Java development (C experience is advantageous) -Previous Defence or government experience working within an IT-related field. -Proactively problem-solve and independently find solutions without requiring close direction -Familiarity with Agile and/or SAFe development methodologies -Knowledge of coding languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, AngularJS, and Git -A workplace culture certified as a Great Place To Work (Aus, India, UK & US) -BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and commensurate certifications with relevant professional body -Ability to work within a team environment, with potential to take on more responsibility as the work grows. -Proven experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role -Independent problem-solving skills and the ability to find answers with minimal supervision -Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment -Excellent communication skills
