Lead scheduling and coordinates site activities
Provides recommendations and cost estimates for building envelopes, components and systems repair or replacement for inclusion in the capital budget plan
Work in collaboration with Facility and Project Management to ensure accurate information and building nuances are captured in the BCA – including any historical projects.
Comply with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and mandated byBGIS Health Safety and Environment Teams and enforced by law.

General knowledge of building science including base knowledge of all areas of study - architectural building envelope, mechanical and electrical building systems or site components
Strong written communication skills
Strong computer skills
University degree in relevant field such as architectural, civil, mechanical electrical engineering, building science or building engineering
3-5 Years of relevant work experience
Advanced knowledge of the process of cost estimating for replacement and repair of building components and systems
Enrolled in EIT or P.Eng an asset
Valid drivers’ license with ability to travel 50-70%
General knowledge of technical standards and process in completing building condition assessments, in particular American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Practice E2018-15 “Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments: Baseline Property Condition Assessment Process”
Ability to work independently and learn quickly
Applies knowledge of building condition assessment processes and technical standards in conducting asset assessments, annual building inspections and other specialized asset assessments
Specialized knowledge in one of the fields of study - Architectural, structural, building envelope, mechanical and electrical building systems
LEED Certification from Canada Green Building Council, an asset
General knowledge of general building design, construction and facility operation of commercial buildings
Proficient with MS Excel and ability to learn other applications quickly
Valid drivers’ license
