The Role

Overview

Manage and analyze construction schedules, conduct site inspections, and report findings.

Tasks

-Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of construction. -Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays, effectively communicating findings. -Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables. -Review and synthesize relevant information to prepare technical project reports. -Evaluate construction productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses. -Perform inspections of construction project sites, evaluating project progress. -Review and organize large amounts of construction project documents and data. -Participate in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the development of schedules and ongoing schedule updates. -Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and construction costs. -Interface with other department employees, contractors, and clients on a regular basis -Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the cause and extent of delays and to resolve construction delay claims.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 2 years in a professional work environment. -Previous experience or exposure to builder’s risk insurance policies, construction claims management, and managing contractors. -Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client offices (approx. 25-35%). -Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose. -Experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera 6, and ASTA Powerproject. -Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules. -Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients. -Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent field.
