Tasks

-Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. -Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. -May instruct and supervise others. Responsible for technical leadership and mentoring of NDT Staff. -Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection. -Work closely with client to identify and remove obstacles -Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment. -Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators. -Organize and report test results. -Perform specialized inspections. -Interface daily with the client about work priorities and progress of projects -Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions -Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.

What You Bring

-Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments. -Maintaining current certifications in visual testing (VT), penetrant testing (PT) and ultrasonic testing (UT) are pre-requisites whilst eddy current testing (ET) and magnetic testing (MT) certificates are also desirable. -Able to travel extensively overseas to and from projects and various field assignments. -Holding a IRRSP or State Card is preferable. -Being able to demonstrate your ability to effectively perform NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections. -Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments -Possessing strong code shooting capabilities. -Having exceptional safety and quality awareness.
