Tasks

-Assist in the design, planning, and preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates for new municipal infrastructure projects. -Assist in the design and preparation of plans for commercial, residential, and site development projects, such as roads, bridges, water supply networks, sewage systems, and public parks -Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation using tools such as MS Office Suite. -Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative engineering solutions. -Prepare reports, calculations, and presentations for internal use and public meetings. -Coordinate with internal departments (architects, urban planners, and construction managers, etc.), utility companies, contractors, and regulatory agencies to coordinate projects and ensure compliance with local regulations -Support the planning, analysis, and design of water, wastewater, drainage, and transportation systems. -Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality. -Analyze design alternatives to address site constraints and meet client objectives – keeping time and budget priority -Collaborate on permitting and regulatory compliance for site development projects.

What You Bring

-Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. -1–5 years of professional civil engineering experience -EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months from start date. -Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with overtime as needed. -Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. -Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design tools. -Knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, hydrology, and municipal infrastructure systems. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
