The Role

Overview

Design AutoCAD drawings for high‑voltage power and renewable projects.

Tasks

-Comply with internal CAD quality standards and drawing templates. -Convert hand sketches or scanned images into digital CAD drawings. -Prepare and update detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics. -Attend design review meetings and incorporate feedback promptly. -Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve clashes or interferences. -Assist in the preparation of tender drawings, shop drawings, and final documentation. -Maintain drawing revision history and ensure version control. -Generate as-built drawings after project completion. -To work with a vibrant, agile and multi-functional team in delivering projects on time, safely, to budget and to the required quality standards. -To build your career by assisting in the delivery of ‘leading edge’ engineering projects.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of electrical schematics, layout drawings, and civil interfaces. -Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D desirable). -Familiarity with UK DNO/IDNO standards and specifications. -Experience with BIM/Revit or other 3D modelling software. -Strong communication and teamwork skills. -Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. -HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. -Knowledge of CDM regulations and utility mapping.
