Project Engineer I

Overview

Coordinate construction field work, docs, inspections, and resolve issues for advanced facilities.

Tasks

-Work with Project Manager for fee payments or recurring permit expenses -Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons -Develop and maintain: Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance Report -Establish handling procedures for electronic documents, including Request for Information (RFI) and correspondence -Manage all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management program -Maintain schedule of timelines and follow through until completion -Manage, create, and distribute contract documents -Incorporate all processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase -Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders -Coordinate safety and compliance for all team member -Manage submittals -Determine alternative work methods as needed -Responsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of field engineers

What You Bring

-Minimum of two years related construction experience -(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) -Current driver’s license -Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills -Ability to travel 100% -Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. -Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. -Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).
