The Role
Overview
Manages daily site work, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and safety compliance.

Tasks
-Coordinate subcontractor work efforts (provide a minimum of 5 days’ notice of start of work and update every 48 hours) -Update construction schedules daily and provide updates to office -Coordinate material deliveries -Coordinate any subcontractor notifications with project manager -Conduct daily clean-up (trash, debris, street cleaning) -Coordinate construction stakeout (provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to engineers) -Coordinate private utility installation (power, gas, telephone, cable) -Process change order requests to project manager -Monitor OSHA safety regulations and ensure subcontractor compliance -Coordinate installation of temporary utilities (power, telephone, water) -Hold weekly project meetings on site with all subcontractors and provide written notes/documentation of meeting to project manager -Review plans and specifications for errors and report findings to project manager -Conduct daily erosion and sediment control inspection -Monitor daily weather reports and coordinate work efforts and precautions as required -Hold preconstruction meetings with subcontractors, private utilities, and municipal officials -Coordinate project work areas (stockpile areas, construction entrances, port-a-potty locations, material storage areas) -Coordinate and oversee private testing (concrete, soils, etc.) -Maintain daily reports -Check all material deliveries against purchase orders -Oversee and tally all earthwork haul tickets and submit to project manager on a weekly basis -Monitor all project closeout procedures (as-builts, inspections, punch lists, monumentation)

What You Bring
-Education: minimum High School, prefer four year degree -This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel. -Ability to communicate both in person and/or by telephone. -Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, plan take-offs, project budgets and estimating -Must be able to operate general office equipment including but not limited to: computers, phones and related media and informational devices -Experience: Position requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction or related field. Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of commercial and site development projects. Must have an understanding of all applicable building codes, OSHA regulations and all governing standards -Monitor subcontractor testing -This position requires good written, oral and reading communication skills in order for the incumbent to accurately obtain, interpret and transcribe a variety of communications and instructions. -Must have strong scheduling skills.
