Tasks

-Define and enforce governance frameworks, compliance protocols, and architectural standards. -Work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, legal, and compliance teams. -Ensure data integrity and regulatory alignment across distributed systems. -Architect and optimize solutions for large-scale, enterprise-grade datasets. -Develop end-to-end architectures for data ingestion, storage, processing, access control, and auditing. -Mentor development teams on secure coding and data handling practices. -Embed security-by-design principles across all platform components. -Guide system owners and engineering leads on data standards, lineage tracking, and metadata management. -Partner with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data platform architectures. -Implement robust encryption, IAM, and secure data lifecycle management. -Conduct risk assessments and compliance gap analyses. -Apply advanced techniques for managing geospatial data, including spatial indexing and analytics. -Stay informed on emerging technologies and evolving regulatory landscapes. -Create reference architectures, blueprints, and best practices for secure and compliant data platforms. -Apply architectural principles that support scalability, performance, and resilience in petabyte-scale data ecosystems. -Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions with customer stakeholders.

What You Bring

e are seeking a seasoned and strategic Software Lead Architect with deep expertise in data management, governance, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to design and implement secure, scalable, and compliant data platform solutions. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the architectural vision and ensuring alignment with global data protection standards such as USGCI, GDPR, HIPAA, and others. -Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. -Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. -Knowledge of security compliance best practices is a plus. -Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud-native security tools. -Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery). -Professional certifications such as CISSP, CIPP, TOGAF, or AWS/Azure Architect. -Familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2. -7–10 years of experience in software architecture, with a strong focus on data platforms and security. -Proven track record in designing solutions compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, USGCI, or similar regulations. -Experience conducting Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
