Access Control Technician

Overview

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain access control and security systems for retail sites.

Tasks

-Cutting in door strikes and maglocks as needed -Providing technical escalation support both on-site and remotely -Collaborating with Installation Team Leads or Project Managers to manage schedules and equipment delivery -Completing all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to meet customer satisfaction and contractual requirements -Running low voltage and composite cables in commercial buildings, including conduit work and concrete drilling -Conducting system tests and troubleshooting to ensure full functionality and compliance with local, state, and federal codes -Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing access control systems and related cabling

What You Bring

-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years) -Proficiency with smartphones, computers, email, spreadsheets, and internal systems -Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) -Experience in field installation within the security environment: Access Control, CCTV, Alarm, and Fire systems -Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible shifts -Experience with CCTV, voice, and data cabling is a plus -Possession of basic telecom tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during training -Ability to read blueprints and site maps -Valid state-required Physical Security certification/license
