  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

  • Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
  • Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes.
  • Successful passing of the FE exam
  • Relevant work experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
  • Experience with the following software: AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Available for occasional travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering focus on structural engineering
