- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

- Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
- Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes.
- Successful passing of the FE exam
- Relevant work experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
- Experience with the following software: AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
- Builds analytic and design skills.
- Available for occasional travel
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering focus on structural engineering
