Tasks

As the Gas Data & Information Systems Analyst, you’ll empower AusNet’s Gas Business with accurate, timely, and actionable insights. In this role, you’ll drive data quality and performance reporting to support financial and operational goals. You’ll analyse trends, create visualisations, and streamline reporting processes to ensure data is reliable, consistent, and ready to inform key decisions. If you're passionate about turning data into impact and thrive in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you. -Data Collection and Cleaning: Maintain the data asset registry and ensure data from all sources is accurate, consistent, and reliable across reporting tools, resolving discrepancies proactively. -Maintaining a safe and reliable gas network, supporting price stability, and seeking equitable outcomes for customers through the energy transition will require ongoing dialogue and a coordinated approach. -Data Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to analyse data, uncover trends, and deliver insights that support performance monitoring and data-driven decisions aligned with business goals. -Reporting: Develop internal and external KPI reporting such as Monthly Asset Performance KPIs, Regulatory KPI reports, RINS, NGERS. Support the enterprise Capex, Opex and GAAR Planning cycle. -Data Visualization: Create visual representations of data to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders and enable Asset Performance Engineers to action insights efficiently. -Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand Gas Business value drivers and provide data-driven solutions.

What You Bring

With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in South Bank and is part of the Network Management Team, with occasional travel to site within Victoria. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address business challenges. -Advanced Excel skills and experience in building interactive dashboards (Power BI), streamlining reporting and automating workflows -Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the Energy Sector -High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data handling and analysis. -Independent problem solving and management of resolution for assigned work. -A relevant tertiary qualification in business or data analytics.
