Overview

Summer 2026 intern assisting structural design of building projects at TYLin.

-Work with the project team to assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings (commercial, institutional, residential, etc.) from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through construction -Assist with computer modeling & hand calculations -Perform field review for projects under construction

What You Bring

-Familiarity with REVIT Structure beneficial -Strong commitment to integrity, consistently demonstrating ethical, fair, and responsible behavior -Requires current 3rd year standing as an undergraduate, or a Graduate student standing, in an accredited Civil Engineering program or Architectural Engineering program (with a focus on structures) -Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously -Co-op or academic project experience related to commercial, institutional, or residential buildings would be considered an asset. -Completion of steel and concrete design classes preferred, completion of at least one of these classes required. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues -Become familiar with engineering plans and details -Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also able to effectively collaborate in a team environment
