The Role

Overview

Oversee transloading site staff, safety, equipment, and material transport operations.

Tasks

-Assists with the unloading and transportation of materials from transloading sites to then deliver to the customer -Continues to look for more efficient ways to increase business with customer(s) -Assigns job duties and schedules work hours for all employees on site -Monitors and evaluates job performance of employees in accordance with company procedures and policies including but not limited to CDL and DOT compliance -Leads daily Safety Briefings as requested -Completes all safety and injury/incident paperwork and all other necessary reports in a timely manner -Responsible for conducting daily and monthly safety meetings -Visually inspect equipment and maintenance facility for safe operations

What You Bring

-High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Some technical schooling preferred -Strong knowledge and understating of DOT rules and regulations -Maintain a valid Driver’s License and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy; CDL Class A preferred (or obtain within first year of employment) -Manual dexterity to handle tools, hammers, and the ability to move 25 pounds are regularly required to perform unloading operations -Standing, walking, bending, and stretching are required to perform train-unloading operations -Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions -Exposure to gasoline & fuel vapors when fueling trucks and equipment -Positive, enthusiastic attitude & strong work ethic, team player -Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P. -Vision must be sufficient for driving, and inspection of trucks and all other equipment required for material handling -Exposure to Coal dust from coal unloading & stacking operations -Demonstrated math, reading, and writing skills to read car ID numbers, and prepare reports -2+ years experience in a leadership role in construction or like industry preferred -Strong computer skills including MS Office applications
