Tasks

Position Summary: The Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining the plant machinery in working order. -Regularly wear protective attire, such as hard hats and steel-toe boots -Help develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules -Identify / troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems -Repair plant equipment (steel forms, machinery, and building) -Meet safety and housekeeping policy and procedures -Utilize diagnostic equipment (meters), and hand tools -Communicate with co-workers and supervisors in meeting production goals -Interpret parts manuals for purchasing -Identify / troubleshoot electrical faults in equipment and building

-Possible night shift -1+ year(s) industrial maintenance (mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, fabrication, pneumatic) -Intermediate mathematic skills -Time management, demonstrate a sense 'urgency' -Be proficient with fabrication tools (welding, oxy/acetyl torch) -Read / understand operating manuals for plant machinery (steam gen, air comp, wire rollers) -Mon - Fri (weekends when needed) -Must work well independently with little direction -Work in extremely bright or very dim lighting conditions -English -some Spanish is a plus -Quick thinker / strategic planner / flexible / problem solver
