Tasks

-Work closely with the Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) to support implementation of cybersecurity best practices which meet corporate standards and successfully pass cybersecurity audits -Be a technical leader for product development, responsible for meeting schedule, cost and product performance goals -Lead firmware and functional design reviews at various product development stages. -Analyze the power system architecture and requirements to develop technical solutions to achieve product requirements. -Develop engineering documentation including software requirements specification, design verification test plans, product configuration specifications, user interface specifications. -Work closely with product management on creating product requirements and specifications -Be a key member of a world-class organization that creates market leading 3-phase products. -Work with global software team members to develop products and achieve software releases -Keep track of latest embedded software strategies, processes and tools. Apply knowledge to power electronics applications. -Analyze existing code modules and techniques to determine advantages and deficiencies. -Propose innovative technical solutions to complex problems -Occasionally assist with embedded software development using C, C++ for ARM / DSP processors for three phase power systems when critical and complex issues arise -Work with control system experts to develop algorithms that control Inverters, Rectifiers and DC/DC converters -Be a mentor who provides support and guidance to junior level engineers -Determine how to refresh existing platforms when necessary

What You Bring

-Ability to work well as a team member on new product development projects and individual contributor when necessary -Experience with version control repository hosting services such as Bitbucket, SVN -Understanding of analog and digital circuitry -Minimum of one (1) year experience developing software with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) -Competent with MATLAB/PLECS -Extensive experience programming in C, C++, in an embedded environment -Understanding of Model Based Development (MBD) -Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role -Experience with embedded Linux -Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in software/Embedded development -Familiarity with schematic entry and PCB design tools like Altium, Cadence, etc. -Strong attention to detail while consistently operating with a sense of urgency -Track record of working with control systems for power electronics -Experience working with global teams -Extensive experience in developing, coding and troubleshooting real-time software -Experience developing advanced digital controls and algorithms for AC to DC power conversion preferred -Familiarity with different operating systems such as FreeRTOS, μC/OS, TI's DSP/BIOS RTOS and Linux -Minimum of one year engineering experience in electrical design or software development with power electronics -Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution -Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) -Experience in three phase power systems, power electronics and power conversion topologies. -Familiarity with common tools and methods to work in a high-power lab (480V) environment, oscilloscope, power analyzers and meters -Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution -Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and leading software releases -Ability to understand low level hardware specifications and ability to read, interpret and understand hardware schematics -Ability to simulate, analyze, and troubleshoot using HIL systems -Ability to demonstrate technical leadership and communicate technical features and requirements to non-technical functions to ensure buy-in across the organization -Familiarity with System Composer -Strong background in power electronics and embedded systems
