The Role

Overview

Provide quality engineering support for aerospace hydraulic pump manufacturing.

Tasks

-Monitor and create action plans to meet key business metrics including Productivity, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and Cycle Time/Backlog. -Work with internal and external customers to interpret or reach agreement on quality procedures and acceptability of products. -Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements. -Determine, develop, and monitor inspection and verification techniques to meet design requirements, including new product releases for prototype and production products. -Champion a culture of continuous improvement and the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste in key processes. -Respond to customer corrective action requests including full root cause analysis, determination of permanent corrective actions and follow-up on corrective actions. -Develop, implement, and monitor all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS). -Develop methods to eliminate quality problems and improve manufacturing process through collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Management, and suppliers.

-There is no relocation being offered for this position. Only applicants residing within 50 miles of the North Charleston, SC facility will be considered. -Strong Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Background -Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution -Experience in aerospace products and applications -Minimum three (3) years in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing environment -Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship -Experience with complex machined materials -ASQ certification -Technical and/or master’s degree -This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. -1 year experience in milling, CNC equipment troubleshooting and repair
