Tasks

Join Arup’s growing Project & Commercial Management (PCM) team in Cork, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cost and commercial advisory across Ireland. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll help lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure and building projects that prioritise sustainability, value, and innovation. -Engage directly with clients, design teams, contractors, and approving authorities, representing Arup at site visits and project meetings to maintain quality and foster strong stakeholder relationships. -Lead the preparation of robust cost estimates and tender documentation, enabling informed decisionmaking and competitive pricing strategies. -Manage contract administration and postcontract services, ensuring commercial control and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. -Deliver strategic procurement advice that drives value and ensures alignment with client objectives across diverse infrastructure and building projects. -Act as Project QS on small to mediumsized schemes, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

What You Bring

-Excellent report writing and communication skills. -Working knowledge of MS Office products and construction industry estimating software such as CostOS and CostX; -Minimum eight years postqualification experience. -Experienced in managing construction contracts (NEC, Public Works Contracts, FIDIC); and -To be commercially astute with strong numerical skills, demonstrating an attention to detail
