Tasks

-Assure the experience feedback by capturing issues (Lessons Learned). Work in a matrix organization with numerous interfaces: In house with mainly the Engineering departments of Belfort, Baden, Noida, Queretaro, Schenectady, and Greenville. In house with fellow PEM's and Project Coordinators. In house with project managers, quality, sourcing, logistics and scheduling. Externally with Customers, partners, EPCs, and subcontractors -Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. -Enforce quality procedures and participate in their improvement. -Manage a cross functional Engineering team to master the risks and opportunities of the Contract. -Serves as the technical leader/manager to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects. Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors. -Providing technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and internal engineering teams. -Reviewing Customer specifications and communicating contract and project requirements to all design functions, utilizing internal documentation systems. -Serve as Senior Project Engineering Manager, when assigned, to lead and facilitate a total project solution across all product lines: Global technical project focal point… partner with project manager for customer/EPC meetings, etc. Drive consistent project requirement flow down across product lines (GT/ST/Gen/BOP) (Contractual/compliance). Drive–functional resolution to technical project issues from a system level across product lines. Respect of the contractual obligations while protecting the customer satisfaction. Management of technical risks of the project. Drive project profitability according to the assigned budgets. -Evaluating financial/schedule impact of Customer requested scope changes. Providing technical support to Engineering, Sourcing, Vendors, and Installation teams to ensure equipment meets all Customer requirements and business objectives. -Own the engineering execution of BOP-scoped Projects from Contract signature until the end of contractual obligations. -Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions. -Excellent oral and written communication skills. -Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects. -Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field. -Motivated and able to motivate others. -Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. -Technical superior training with experience in project/team management preferred, in the field of energy or in the management of transverse teams. -Demonstrates customer interface experience. -Demonstrates knowledge of Turbo machinery, generator, electrical, controls and/or Power Plant Accessory systems and equipment. -Travel: Not consistent, 1 week per month -Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. -Demonstrates creativity and problem-solving capability. -Willingness/ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. -Expertise in one of the disciplines (Mechanical/ Electrical / Process) -A min of 6 years of experience or more of related industry experience with increasing responsibilities. -Demonstrates knowledge of Mechanical & electrical codes and compliance. -Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or any other related STEM program from an accredited university or college.

Benefits

-Pay range: $50.00- $63.00 per hour/ W2- Please note this contract does not include benefits
