The Role

Overview

Develop and evaluate tracking, sensor fusion, and battle management algorithms for IAMD systems.

Tasks

-Maintain and improve large scale simulations to support multiple missions and integrate existing models from mission partners into simulations. -Support planning and execution of system performance analysis, independent performance assessments, post-test analysis and simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) activities. -Develop models and simulations of IAMD systems with a focus on battle management and fire control systems. -Develop software including modeling and simulation efforts and/or automation of analysis tools. -Develop algorithms and explore concepts related to IAMD system of systems including tracking, sensor fusion, correlation, and battle management technologies. -Perform technical engineering and problem solving for Integrated Air and Missile Defense System of System problems with a focus on tracking and battle management systems. -Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support during execution of analysis for Hardware In-the Loop (HWIL), Digital Modeling and Simulation (M&S), and analysis tasks. -Develop metrics, analyze data, and assess performance of IAMD battle management systems. -Assist in simulation framework development activities. -Participate in M&S Meetings. -Perform analysis applying appropriate scientific and engineering processes and modeling techniques to the life cycle development of systems.

What You Bring

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers. -Experience with missile defense systems preferred. -Experience with GIT, Gitlab, or DevOps (or similar) preferred. -5-10 years of experience. -Programming experience in Python, C/C++, or Matlab preferred. -Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance. -Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent degree from accredited university (advanced degree preferred). -Experience with sensor fusion, correlation, track filters, or data association algorithms required.
