Tasks

-Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry and mid-level Engineers to promote employee development. -Manage and direct project teams by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope or work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood. -Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed. -Manage and oversee the output from the engineering, constructability, procurement, construction and commissioning teams from detail design through commission and start up. -Serve as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project review, and other meetings and correspondence. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements. -Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Maintain ongoing communication with client, adjusting as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjust project deliverables to meet client and Kiewit needs. -Establish project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineering work; determine and oversee all project controls, schedules and budgets.

What You Bring

-Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Regular, reliable attendance -Must be willing to relocate/and or travel. -Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents. -Must be able to read and interpret drawings, plans, specifications, and have a fluent understanding of the NEC. -5+ years’ work experience in a power or related market. Candidates for this role do not have to have Superintendent experience, those who have filled Foreman and General Foreman roles are encouraged to apply.
